In the Superior Court of California, County of Sacramento, plaintiffs Doris Baccala and Avery Baccala are suing defendant Claire Latimer and DOES 1-100 for negligence, negligence per se, and loss of consortium. The case was filed by attorney Jordan W. Maurer from Maurer Law Corporation on November 3, 2027, under case number 2021-00311010.

The lawsuit arises from a motor vehicle collision that occurred on Fair Oaks Boulevard near Munroe Street on July 22, 2021. According to the complaint, plaintiff Doris Baccala was driving westbound when defendant Claire Latimer failed to yield the right of way and entered Fair Oaks Boulevard directly into her lane of travel causing the collision.

The plaintiffs allege that each of the defendants is legally responsible in some manner for the incident. They further claim that the amount in controversy exceeds the minimal jurisdictional limits of this court.

The plaintiffs are seeking damages for personal injuries sustained during the collision. They assert that defendant Claire Latimer breached her duty as a driver by failing to operate her vehicle safely and according to vehicle laws.
