Widow alleges insurance company won't pay insurance benefits

SACRAMENTO – A widow is suing her late husband's insurance provider in an effort to claim the benefits.

Margo Stension filed a complaint on April 15 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California against United States Life Insurance Co., citing breach of insurance contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she the beneficiary of her late husband's accidental death insurance. The plaintiff holds United States Life Insurance Co. responsible because the defendant allegedly denied plaintiff's claim for benefits, erroneously stating that her husband committed suicide.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury. She is represented by T.D. Bolling Jr. of Bolling & Gawthrop in Sacramento.
