Southside Flooring Inc. accused of unpaid contributions

SAN FRANCISCO – Several trust funds have filed suit against a California employer over claims it hasn't paid contributions on behalf of its employees.

District Council 16 Northern California Health and Welfare Trust Fund and its joint board of trustees; Chris Christophersen and John Maggiore, District Council 16 Northern California Journeyman and Apprentice Training Trust Fund and its joint board of trustees; Chris Christophersen and Marian Bourboulis, et al. filed a complaint on April 26 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against Southside Flooring Inc. alleging that the employer breached its bargaining agreement with the plaintiffs.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that in March 2015 and from June 2015 to February, they suffered damages as a result of unpaid contributions to the trust funds. The plaintiffs holds Southside Flooring Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay contributions to the trust fund on behalf of its employees.

The plaintiffs seek all unpaid contributions, liquidated damages on all late paid and unpaid contributions plus interest, all legal fees, and any other relief as this court deems just. They are represented by Michele R. Stafford and Matthew P. Minser of Saltzman & Johnson Law Corp. in San Francisco.
