SACRAMENTO – A disabled resident of Sky Forest Meadows apartments alleges she has been injured and damaged as a result of the defendants' negligence in maintaining the building.

Angelica Frances filed a complaint on May 12 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California against Accessible Space Inc., South Lake Tahoe Supportive Housing Inc., Doe business entities 1-10 and Doe individuals 1-10, citing alleged breach of contract, negligent infliction of emotional distress, negligence and premises liability

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she has resided in Apartment 102 since 2009 and claims she has complained to the defendants regularly about the lack of heat in the second bedroom. The suit states that the issue was fixed after six years of notifying the defendants of the problem. She also alleges that the apartment had water leaks and mold issues.

The plaintiff seeks economic special damages, medical expenses, interest, all legal fees, all other damages allowed by the law, and any other relief as this court deems just. She is represented by Steven J. McHugh and Debra A. McHugh of McHugh & McHugh LLP in South Lake Tahoe.
