SAN FRANCISCO – A California corporation is suing a Minnesota company over claims it is selling products that infringe on patents owned by the plaintiff.
Software Research Inc. filed a complaint on June 2 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against Dotcom-Monitor Inc., and Does 1 through 10 alleging patent infringement.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Software Research Inc. sustained damages to its business as a result of its patents being infringed without being paid any royalties. The patents regard an invention for testing websites, the suit states. The plaintiff holds Dotcom-Monitor Inc. and Does 1 through 10 responsible because the defendants allegedly distributed products that infringes plaintiff's patents.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks to permanently enjoin the defendant from infringing the patents, all damages sustained by plaintiff plus interest, treble damages, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just.
