Union Pacific Railroad Co. employee alleges injuries

SACRAMENTO – A railroad employee alleges he was injured from a result of poor working conditions.

Jordan J. Puppo filed a complaint on June 7 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California against Union Pacific Railroad Co. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he sustained physical injuries to his knees and legs while performing his duties while working for the defendant. The plaintiff holds Union Pacific Railroad Co. responsible because the defendant allegedly did not provide proper equipment such as knee pads and a proper working surface to plaintiff for performing his tasks.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks general damages, special damages, lost wages and benefits, all medical expenses, interest, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Kristoffer S. Mayfield and Anthony S. Petru of Hildebrand, McLeod & Nelson LLP in Oakland.
