Autosoft Inc. files trademark infringement suit against California corporation

Trademark 07

SACRAMENTO – A Pennsylvania corporation alleges that a California corporation is using a name which looks and sounds similar its name.

Autosoft Inc. filed a complaint on June 14 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California against Autosoft Net Inc. alleging trademark infringement.

According to the complaint, both parties sell software to auto dealers nationwide. The plaintiff holds Autosoft Net Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly used the name Autosoft, which could cause confusion to customers that the defendant is associated with the plaintiff.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks to permanently enjoin the defendant, award all damages, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. It is represented by Irwin B. Schwartz and John V. Komar of BLA Schwartz PC in San Jose.
