Sierra Dental and Orthodontics accused of copyright infringement

Copyright 09

SACRAMENTO – A Pennsylvania company alleges that a Cameron Park business used an infringing version of the plaintiff's software on its website.

Live Face on Web LLC filed a complaint on July 1 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California against Robert Catron, doing business as Sierra Dental and Orthodontics, and Does 1-10 alleging copyright infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages as a result of its software being used without its authority by the defendant. The plaintiff holds Robert Catron and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly copied and stored an infringing version of the plaintiff's software on its website.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks permanent injunction against the defendant enjoining it from further infringing plaintiff's software, all damages, to pay plaintiff all profits derived from the unlawful act, all legal fees, and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Imran F. Vakil and Angelo Mishriki of Nexio PC in Costa Mesa.
