Trust funds allege Tennyson Electric owes contributions

LOS ANGELES – A collection of labor union trust funds have filed suit against an Alameda County employer over allegations it failed to pay monthly contributions.

Construction Laborers Trust Funds for Southern California Administrative Co. filed a complaint on July 5 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Tennyson Electronic Inc. alleging violation of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Construction Laborers Trust Funds for Southern California Administrative Co. suffered damages as a result of unpaid contributions by the defendant on behalf of its employees from January 2011 through June 2015.

The plaintiff seeks $13,935.12 in delinquent fringe benefit contributions, damages, interest of $2,935.97, liquidated damages, cost of audit of $1,920, all legal fees and any other relief as the  court deems just. It is represented by Alexander B. Cvitan, J. David Sackman and Marsha M. Hamasaki of Reich, Adell & Cvitan in Los Angeles.
