LOS ANGELES – A Ventura consumer has filed a class-action lawsuit against a company over its calls to her to allegedly solicit its pension services.
Annette Grind filed a complaint on behalf of all others similarly situated on July 8 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Future Income Payments LLC and Does 1-20 alleging violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that starting in July 2015, she was contacted on her mobile phone by the defendant and was charged for those calls. The plaintiff holds Future Income Payments LLC
and Does 1-20
responsible because the defendant allegedly called plaintiff to solicit its services using a pre-recorded voice without her consent and continued to call despite her requests to stop.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks $500 in statutory damages for each and every violation, $1,500 as treble damages for each and every violation, and any other relief as the court deems just. She is represented by Todd M. Friedman and Adrian R. Bacon of Law Offices of Todd M. Friedman PC in Beverly Hills.
