Trust funds file suit over allegedly unpaid contributions from Beebe Diversified

Contract 07

SAN FRANCISCO – A Sacramento-based business is facing allegations from several trust funds that it did not pay contributions in violation of a bargaining agreement.

Board of trustees of the Laborers Health and Welfare Trust Fund for Northern California; board of trustees of the Laborers Vacation-Holiday Trust Fund for Northern California; board of trustees of the Laborers Pension Trust Fund For Northern California; and board of trustees of the Laborers Training and Retraining Trust Fund for Northern California filed a complaint on July 12 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against Beebe Diversified LP alleging breach of bargaining agreement and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that they suffered damages as the result of unpaid contributions by the defendant from November to December 2015, January, and March through June. The plaintiffs hold Beebe Diversified LP responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay monthly contribution to the trust fund on behalf of their employees.

The plaintiffs seek unpaid contributions of $194,329.08, plus interested and liquidated damages, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. They are represented by Ronald L. Richman, Susan J. Olson and Heather J. Zacharia of Bullivant Houser Bailey PC in San Francisco.
