SAN JOSE – Two Consumers accuse a financial institution of telephone harassment in an attempt to collect an alleged debt.

Steve & Sara Davis filed a complaint on July 21 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, San Jose Division against JP Morgan Chase Bank alleging violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and the Rosenthal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that in October 2015, they were contacted several times by the defendant in an attempt to collect an alleged debt despite their request to stop calling. The plaintiffs hold JP Morgan Chase Bank responsible because the defendant allegedly used an automatic dialing system to call the plaintiffs.

The plaintiffs seek statutory damages, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. They are represented by Ryan Lee of Law Offices of Ryan Lee PLLC in Scottsdale, Arizona.
