LOS ANGELES – A Riverside County woman is alleged to have defaulted on a student loan.
United States of America, on behalf of the U.S. Department of Education, filed a complaint on Aug. 19 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Susan M. Miller alleging that the individual failed to pay an alleged debt she owed plaintiff.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that United States of America suffered damages as the result of an unpaid debt. The plaintiff holds Miller responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to honor her promissory note to plaintiff by paying her debt on the agreed date.
The plaintiff seeks the principal amount of $3,070.41 plus interest in the sum of $1,133.43 plus ongoing interest at the rate of 23 cents and 27 cents per day, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just.
