LOS ANGELES — A California corporation has filed suit against an England-based company, alleging it did not engage in patent infringement for its foaming soap dispenser.

CWGC LA Inc. filed a complaint on Aug. 21 in U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, Western Division, against DEB IP Ltd., DEB USA Inc., doing business as DEBMED USA, DEBMED USA Inc. and DEBMED, and Does 1 through 10,  alleging that the defendants claim the plaintiff has infringed their patent.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that CWGC LA Inc. suffered damages from being accused of infringing the United States-issued product patent.

The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because the defendants allegedly accused the plaintiff of infringing their patented design.

The plaintiff seeks a declaration that it does not infringe the United States Patent No. 6,082,586, all legal fees and costs and any other relief as the court deems appropriate. It is represented by Bub-Joo S. Lee and Anna Novruzyan of Lee Anav Chung White Kim Ruger & Richter LLP in Los Angeles.
