Riverside County individual accused of not paying student loan

LOS ANGELES – A Riverside County woman is alleged to owe on a student loan.

United States of America, acting on behalf of the U.S. Department of Education, filed a complaint on Aug. 11 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Alejandra Toro, also known as Alejandra I. Luna, alleging that the individual failed to settle her debt with plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Toro failed to pay the principal balance of her debt with plaintiff plus interest.

The plaintiff seeks principal amount of $1,771.04 plus interest of $398.16 with further interest at 8 percent per annum accruing at 39 cents per day, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by William I. Goldsmith, Jack D. Hull and Michael L. Goldsmith of Goldsmith & Hull APC in Northridge.
