Mackson Inc., Ross Stores alleged to have used infringing fabric for clothing

LOS ANGELES – A Vernon corporation claims that two business have made clothing with infringing versions of its fabric.

Unicolors Inc. filed a complaint on Sept. 7 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Mackson Inc., Ross Stores Inc. and Does 1-10 citing copyright infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages from having its copyrighted designs used on other fabrics. The plaintiff holds Mackson Inc., Ross Stores Inc. and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly manufactured and distributed garments using fabrics that feature a similar design as plaintiff's through their online retail store.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks enjoin the defendants from further infringing plaintiff's designs. It is represented by C. Yong Jeong of Jeong & Likens LC in Los Angeles.
