LOS ANGELES – A Los Angeles man has filed a class-action suit against a website and its owners over their alleged telemarketing calls.

Edward Makaron filed a complaint on behalf of all others similarly situated on Sept. 12 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Getvisibleweb.com, Vineet Baid, Ratan Baid, Vivek Baid and Does 1 through 10 citing the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in April the defendants contacted his cellphone in an attempt to solicit their services. The plaintiff claims he has never been a customer of the defendants. The plaintiff holds Getvisibleweb.com, Vineet Baid, Ratan Baid, Vivek Baid and Does 1 through 10 responsible because the defendants allegedly used an automatic telephone dialing system to contact plaintiff without receiving his consent.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks $500 in statutory damages for each violation, $1,500 in treble damages for each violation and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Todd M. Friedman, Meghan E. George and Adrian R. Bacon of Law Offices of Todd M. Friedman PC in Woodland Hills.
