Los Angeles County man defaulted on student loans, federal government alleges

LOS ANGELES – A Los Angeles County man is alleged to owe more than $5,000 on the principal for two student loans.

United States of America filed a complaint on Oct. 7 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Rodney D. Burnley alleging that the individual failed to settle his debt with plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges Burnley failed to pay the principal amount of his student loan debt with plaintiff plus interest.

The plaintiff seeks principal amount of $5,992.85 plus interest of $15,636.52, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. They are represented by Jacquelyne M. Nguyen in Costa Mesa.
