SAN DIEGO – Two San Diego County residents allege they were injured in a crash in Fallbrook caused by a postal service employee.
Mark Anthony and Christina Burkhart-Hernandez filed a complaint on Oct. 6 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California against United States of America and Does 1-15 alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on Aug. 23, 2014, they suffered personal injuries when a van owned by the United States Postal Service and driven by one of its employees made an illegal left turn in front of the plaintiffs' vehicle and caused a collision. The plaintiffs allege they suffered from multiple bodily injuries and loss of use of property, property damage, medical expenses, lost wages, and loss of earning capacity.
The plaintiffs hold United States of America and Does 1-15 responsible because the defendant's employee allegedly turned his vehicle in an unsafe manner, causing the crash.
The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against defendants, damages, costs of suit, interest and further relief as the court deems just. They are represented by Robert W. Jackson and Brett R. Parkinson of Jackson & Parkinson in San Diego.
