SAN FRANCISCO – A Nevada woman alleges a San Francisco solar company accessed her consumer report without permission and has filed a class-action suit.

Shatri Sion filed a complaint individually and on behalf of all others similarly situated on Oct. 10 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California alleging violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on Oct. 3, 2015, she discovered that defendant accessed her consumer report from Trans Union, a consumer reporting agency. She alleges that she and the defendant have no business relationship and defendant’s inquiry into and access of plaintiff’s consumer report, without her consent, falls outside the scope of any permissible use or access.

The plaintiffs hold SunRun Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly engaged in illegal and deceptive practices when it submitted an unauthorized consumer report inquiry.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek to certify case as a class action, appoint class counsel, injunctive and declaratory relief, damages, costs of litigation, attorney's fees and further relief the court may deem just. She is represented by Abbas Kazerounian of Kazerouni Law Group APC in Costa Mesa and Joshua B. Swigart and Sara F. Khosroabadi of Hyde & Swigart in San Diego.
