Woman claims Go-Staff Inc. did not compensate for all hours worked

Law money 05

SAN DIEGO – A San Diego County woman alleges an employment agency did not pay for all hours worked and has filed a class-action suit.

Flora Armenta filed a complaint individually and on behalf of others similarly situated on Oct. 12 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California against Go-Staff Inc., doing business as Go-Staff or GoStaff, and Does 1-100 alleging violation of the California Labor Code, Fair Labor Standards Act and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges from 2014 to 2015, she was hired by the defendant as a temporary service worker and had to regularly attend interviews and orientations and report her availability to work. She alleges she was not paid for these activities or travel time to them.

The plaintiffs hold Go-Staff Inc. and Does 1-100 responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to timely pay plaintiff and the whole class their appropriate wages and failed to provide accurate and complete itemized wage statements.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks to certify the proposed class, consequential damages, statutory damages and penalties, declaratory relief, restitution, interest, attorneys’ fees, expenses, costs and other relief that the court may deem just. She is represented by Craig M. Nicholas, Alex Tomasevic and David G. Greco of Nicholas & Tomasevic LLP in San Diego and Noam Glick of Glick Law Group PC in San Diego.
