Photographer sues Complex Media for allegedly using his photos without permission

CALIFORNIA — A California corporation is suing Complex, d/b/a "Complex Media, Inc." and DOES 1-10, Delaware corporation, citing alleged copyright infringement.

Michael Grecco Productions, Inc. d/b/a "Michael Grecco Photography" filed a complaint on Oct. 21, in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against the defendants alleging that they used plaintiff's photographs without permission.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Michael Grecco Productions, Inc. d/b/a "Michael Grecco Photography" suffered damages from the use of their copyrighted works. The plaintiff holds Complex, d/b/a "Complex Media, Inc." and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly used plaintiff's photographs on their website.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks enjoin the defendant from further infringing plaintiff's photographs, all profits, statutory damages, all legal fees, statutory damages, and any other relief as this court deems just. They are represented by Stephen M. Doniger, Scott Alan Burroughs and David Shein of Doniger/Burroughs in Venice.
