Aok Group Inc.'s storage devices infringe patent, Soteria Encryption alleges

Patents 03

LOS ANGELES – A Pasadena company alleges a Walnut corporation sells memory devices that contains a controller that infringes its patented technology.

Soteria Encryption LLC filed a complaint on Oct. 25 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, Western Division against Aok Group Inc., doing business as Dyconn Inc., alleging patent infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it owns the '477 patent titled Apparatus and Method for Secure Data Storage. The plaintiff holds Aok Group Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly manufactures memory devices using technology that infringes the plaintiff's patent.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks to enjoin the defendant from further infringing plaintiff's patent, all damages, enhanced damages, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by John E. Lord of One LLP in Beverly Hills and by Joseph K. Liu of the same firm in Newport Beach.
