Federal government alleges individual failed to pay more than $75,000 in student loans

LOS ANGELES – A Los Angeles County woman is alleged to have defaulted on student loans.

United States of America filed a complaint on Oct. 31 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Melissa A. Pallone alleging that the individual failed to settle her debt with the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Pallone failed to pay the principal amount of her debt plus interest.

The plaintiff seeks principal amount of $75,863.83 plus interest of $44,565.72, with interest accruing thereafter at 5.63 percent per year, plus all legal fees. It is represented by Jacquelyne M. Nguyen of Law Office of Jacquelyne M. Nguyen in Costa Mesa.
