Phone 03

LOS ANGELES – A Los Angeles consumer alleges a debt collect called her repeatedly for a debt owed by another person.

Mei Ma filed a complaint on Nov. 10 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Amsher Collection Services Inc. and Does 1-10 alleging violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she suffered damages from receiving several collection calls on her cellular phone from the defendant in its attempt to collect a debt from an unknown party. The plaintiff holds Amsher Collection Services Inc. and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly used an automatic telephone dialing system to call the plaintiff and provided no opt-out system.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks statutory damages, actual damages, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. She is represented by Nathaniel Clark of Law Offices of Scott Warmuth APC in City of Industry.
