Copyright 04

LOS ANGELES – Two garment wholesalers and a retailer are accused of selling garments that infringe a Los Angeles County company's copyrighted designs.

Fabric Selection Inc. filed a complaint on Nov. 9 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Just One LLC, YM Inc., A&M (2015) LLC and Does 1 through 10 alleging copyright infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages to its business. The plaintiff holds Just One LLC, YM Inc., A&M (2015) LLC and Does 1 through 10 responsible because the defendants allegedly manufactured and distributed garments featuring fabrics that copy or are similar to plaintiff's designs.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks permanent injunction against the defendants from further infringing plaintiff's designs, order to recall and destroy all garments bearing the infringing design, statutory damages, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Michael C. Baum, Andrew V. Jablon and Stacey N. Knox of Resch Polster & Berger LLP in Los Angeles.
