San Bernardino resident accused of defaulting on student loan

LOS ANGELES – A San Bernardino resident is alleged to have defaulted on a student loan in 1991.

United States of America filed a complaint on Nov. 11 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Lil A. Harvey, also known as Lil A. Horsley, alleging that the individual failed to settle her debt with the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Harvey failed to pay the principal amount of her debt plus interest.

The plaintiff seeks principal amount of $1,049.99 plus interest of $344.79 with further interest at 5 percent per annum accruing at 14 cents per day, all legal fees, surcharge of ten percent of the amount of the debt owed, and any other relief as this court deems just. It is represented by William I. Goldsmith and Michael L. Goldsmith of Goldsmith & Hull, APC in Northridge.
