Individual alleged to have failed to pay on student loans

LOS ANGELES – A Los Angeles County resident is alleged to have defaulted on three student loans.

United States of America, on behalf of the Department of Education, filed a complaint on Nov. 22 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Bao Roger Ngoc Nguyen alleging that the individual failed to settle his debt with the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges the defendant allegedly failed to pay the principal amount of his debt plus interest.

The plaintiff seeks principal amount of $1,400 plus interest of $1,316.17 with interest accruing thereafter at 3 percent per annum, fees of $67.83, principal amount of $403.93 plus interest of $452.76 with interest accruing thereafter at 3 percent per annum, fees of $19.17, principal amount of $9,369.98 plus interest of $24,626.12 with interest accruing thereafter at 9 percent per annum, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just.
