Woman claims Citibank called her more than 300 times over alleged debt

LOS ANGELES – A San Bernardino County woman alleges a debt collector has harassed her with hundreds of calls.

Monica L. Perry filed a complaint on Nov. 22 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Citibank NA and Does 1 to 10 alleging violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and the Rosenthal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that the defendant began calling her in an attempt to collect an alleged debt in April using an automatic telephone dialing system. She alleges she revoked her consent to receive calls in June. The plaintiff holds Citibank, N.A.; and Does 1 to 10 responsible because the defendants allegedly called her 383 times after she revoked consent.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks statutory damages of $1,000, actual damages, all legal fees statutory damages, interest and any other relief as the court deems just. She is represented by Stuart Price of Price Law Group, APC in Encino.
