LOS ANGELES – A Massachusetts corporation alleges two California men have been harassing it and an employee with false allegations.

aPriori Technologies Inc. filed a complaint on Dec. 28 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, Western Division against Charles Jerome Broquard and Reid Douglas Field alleging defamation and intentional interference with prospective economic advantage.

According to the complaint, plaintiff's employee Frank Iacovelli is the stepfather of Broquard's son. The suit states that Broquard has sent numerous emails to plaintiff's employees and clients and published allegations on websites falsely accusing Iacovelli of being a child abuser and pedophile. The suit also states Field has stood holding signs outside plaintiff's corporate headquarters. The plaintiff holds Broquard and Field responsible because the defendants allegedly participated in a campaign to harass the plaintiff by sending emails to their employees and customers accusing the plaintiff of subsidizing child endangerment.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks enjoin the defendants, order the defendants to remove any mention of aPriori from the website www.francisjosephiacovelli.com and www.badbadfrank.com, damages, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. It is represented by Colin R. Hagan of Shlansky Law Group LLP in Palo Alto.
