Photographer claims Pep Supply unlawfully used photos

LOS ANGELES – A photographer alleges his copyrighted images were used by a business without his permission.

Jorge Salas filed a complaint on Dec. 29 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Antonio Sandoval and Jesus Sandoval-Leyva, both doing business as Pep Supply Ant., and Does 1-5 alleging copyright infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he suffered damages from having his copyrighted images used without being compensated. The plaintiff holds Antonio Sandoval Jesus Sandoval-Leyva, both doing business as Pep Supply Ant., and Does 1-5 responsible because the defendants allegedly used plaintiff's images on their website to advertise their business without consent.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks statutory damages of $150,000, enjoin the defendants, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Mathew K. Higbee of Higbee & Associates in Santa Ana.
