Rodeo Realty Inc. alleges Paramount Holdings Corp. is using Paramount Properties mark

Trademark 09

LOS ANGELES – An independent real estate brokerage company in Beverly Hills alleges its trademark is being used by a Westlake Village company offering similar services.

Rodeo Realty Inc. filed a complaint on Jan. 3 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, Western Division against Jeanpierre Radtke and Paramount Holdings Corp., both doing business as Paramount Properties, alleging trademark infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages to its business from having its Paramount Properties trademark used by another business entity. The plaintiff holds Radtke and Paramount Holdings Corp., both doing business as Paramount Properties, responsible because the defendants allegedly continued to use plaintiff's trademark despite its request to cease using the mark.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks to enjoin the defendants from further infringing plaintiff's trademark, all damages, profits, all legal fees plus interest and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Martin D. Singer and Andrew B. Brettler of Lavely & Singer Professional Corp. in Los Angeles.
