Lendingtree LLC, Guaranteed Rate Inc. accused of making unwanted calls

Phone 06

LOS ANGELES – A Canoga Park consumer alleges two loan providers unlawfully called her for solicitation purposes.

Jackie Winters filed a complaint on behalf of all others similarly situated on Jan. 10 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Lendingtree LLC, Guaranteed Rate Inc., and Does 1 through 10 alleging violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that beginning in November 2015, she suffered damages from receiving several unwanted calls on her residential telephone from the defendants in their attempt to solicit their services. The plaintiff holds Lendingtree LLC, Guaranteed Rate Inc. and Does 1 through 10 responsible because the defendants allegedly kept on calling the plaintiff using an automatic telephone dialing system despite her number being on the National Do-Not-Call list.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks statutory damages and any other relief as the court deems just. She is represented by Todd M. Friedman, Adrian R. Bacon and Meghan E. George of Law Offices of Todd M. Friedman P.C. in Woodland Hills.
