Man alleges US Med LLC invaded his privacy with solicitation calls

SACRAMENTO – A Kern County man alleges his privacy was invaded by a marketing company.

Leeroy Williams filed a complaint individually and on behalf of all others similarly situated on Jan. 4 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California against US Med LLC and Does 1-10 citing the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he received calls on his cellular telephones from the defendants beginning in April 2016 in an effort to sell or solicit its business services without first acquiring his authorization or consent. He also alleges the defendants utilized an automatic telephone dialing system and/or an artificial or pre-recorded voice and as a result, he suffered incoming call charges and invasion of privacy.

The plaintiffs hold US Med LLC and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly utilized an automatic telephone dialing system and/or an artificial or pre-recorded voice.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment in his favor, injunctive relief, statutory and treble damages, and all other relief that the court deems just. He is represented by Todd M. Friedman, Meghan E. George and Adrian R. Bacon of Law Offices of Todd M. Friedman in Woodland Hills.
