Anton Innovations allege Ematic tablets infringe patents

LOS ANGELES – A Costa Mesa business alleges a company's tablet devices infringe its patents.

Anton Innovations Inc. filed a complaint on Jan. 9 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, Southern Division against Shaghal LTD, doing business as Ematic, alleging patent infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages to its business from having its patents infringed. The plaintiff holds Shaghal LTD, doing business as Ematic, responsible because the defendant allegedly infringed at least one or more claims of plaintiff's patents through its distribution of its tablets.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages, plus interest, all other damages and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by William W. Flachsbart and Michael R. La Porte of Flachsbart & Greenspoon LLC in Chicago and H. H. (Shashi) Kewalramani of SHK Legal, APC in Irvine.
