Individual alleged to have defaulted on student loan

LOS ANGELES –  A Los Angeles County resident is alleged to have defaulted on a student loan.

United States of America filed a complaint on Jan. 18 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Hyon S. Kim, also known as Hyon Suk Kim, alleging that the individual failed to settle a debt with the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Kim failed to pay the principal amount of the debt plus interest.

The plaintiff seeks principal amount of $2,377.59 plus interest of $2,865.69 with further interest at 3.54 percent per annum accruing at 23 cents per day, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by William I. Goldsmith and Michael L. Goldsmith of Goldsmith & Hull, A.P.C. in Northridge.
