Woman alleges to owe more than $2,800 on student loan

LOS ANGELES – A Los Angeles County individual is accused of not paying her student loan.

United States of America, on behalf of the Department of Education, filed a complaint on Jan. 18 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Stephanie Holloway alleging that the individual failed to settle her debt with the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Holloway failed to pay the principal amount of her debt plus interest.

The plaintiff seeks the principal amount of $2,895.80 plus interest of $3,683.63 with further interest at 9 percent per annum accruing at 71 cents per day, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by William I. Goldsmith and Michael L. Goldsmith of Goldsmith and Hull, A.P.C. in Northridge.
