Sids Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Inc. alleged to owe contributions to labor union groups

LOS ANGELES – The boards of trustees for three labor union funds allege that an employer has filed to pay contributions.

Board of trustees of the Airconditioning and Refrigeration Industry Health and Welfare Trust Fund; board of trustees of the Airconditioning and Refrigeration Industry Retirement Trust Fund; and the board of trustees of the Airconditioning and Refrigeration Industry Defined Contribution Retirement plan filed a complaint on Jan. 20 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Sids Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Inc., Rodney Ernie Arzu and Does 1 through 20 alleging breach of collective bargaining agreement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that they suffered damages from unpaid and late paid contributions. The plaintiffs holds Sids Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Inc.; Arzu; and Does 1 through 20 responsible because the defendants allegedly breached their bargaining agreement with the plaintiffs by failing to make contributions on behalf of their employees to the labor group.

The plaintiffs seek enjoin the defendants, make payment contributions to the plaintiffs, punitive damages, pay all profits to the plaintiff, payment of delinquent contributions, liquidated damages, interest, audit costs, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. They are represented by Jack R. Wilkerson in Orange.
