Phone 01

LOS ANGELES – A Las Vegas man alleges DirecTV called him at a harassing rate for an alleged debt.

Michael Bonham filed a complaint on Jan. 24 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, Western Division against DirecTV LLC citing the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in August 2016, he suffered damages from receiving several collection calls from the defendant. The plaintiff holds DirecTV LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly kept on calling the plaintiff using an automatic telephone dialing system despite his request to stop calling him.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks statutory damages of $500, treble damages, and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Trinette G. Kent of Lemberg Law LLC in Wilton, Connecticut.
