Jitrade alleges copyright infringement against Cube Instyle, others

LOS ANGELES – A Los Angeles textile convertor alleges one of its designs was used for garments without authorization.

Jitrade Inc. filed a complaint on Jan. 25 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Design of DK Inc., doing business as Cube Instyle and Cube Plus; Du Kim California Inc., doing business as Daylight, et al. alleging copyright infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages to its business from having its design copied and used on other garments. The plaintiff holds Design of DK Inc., doing business as Cube Instyle and Cube Plus; Du Kim California Inc., doing business as Daylight, et al. responsible because the defendants allegedly sold garments made out of fabrics that feature plaintiff's design.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks enjoin the defendants, all profits, statutory damages, all legal fees plus interest and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by C. Yong Jeong, Amy J. Choe and Ryan N. Ostrowski of Jeong & Likens LC in Los Angeles.
