Style in USA accused of using Jitrade textile without authorization

LOS ANGELES – Textile converter Jitrade alleges one of its designs was unlawfully used in clothing.

Jitrade Inc. filed a complaint on Jan. 25 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Style in USA Inc., doing business as 1 Style USA, Apple B, B-Tween, Cezanne and Nadia; Marygold Fashion Inc., doing business as Best & Best; Zenu Fashion Inc.; and Does 1-10 alleging copyright infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages to its business from having its design copied and used on other fabrics. The plaintiff holds Style in USA Inc., doing business as 1 Style USA, Apple B, B-Tween, Cezanne and Nadia; Marygold Fashion Inc., doing business as Best & Best; Zenu Fashion Inc.; and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly marketed and distributed through online websites and retail stores fabrics that bore plaintiff's design.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks enjoin the defendant, all profits, statutory damages, all legal fees plus interest and any other relief as this court deems just. It is represented by C. Yong Jeong, Amy J. Choe and Ryan N. Ostrowski of Jeong & Likens, L.C. in Los Angeles.
