Bot Home Automation Inc. accused of violating labor codes

Law money 10

LOS ANGELES – A class-action suit has been filed against a Santa Monica company over allegations it misclassified its employees as exempt from hourly wages and overtime.

Brian Stuart filed a complaint on Jan. 25 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Bot Home Automation Inc., doing business as Ring.com, and Does 1 through 10 alleging violation of state labor codes.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he suffered damages from performing his work without being paid hourly wages or any overtime compensation. The plaintiff holds Bot Home Automation Inc., doing business as Ring.com, and Does 1 through 10 responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to provide adequate meal periods and failed to pay for business expenses.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks unpaid wages at overtime rates, general and special damages, interest, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Glenn C. Nunes and Anthony J. Nunes of Nunes Law Group, APC in Santa Monica and by Christopher J. Hamner of Hamner Law Offices in Los Angeles.
