SAN FRANCISCO – An employer is alleged to owe allegedly unpaid employee contributions to several labor unions.

District Council 16 Northern California Health and Welfare Trust Fund and its joint board of trustees, et al. filed a complaint on Feb. 1 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against SOTD Corp., doing business as The Glass Man & Sons, alleging violation of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that they suffered damages due to unpaid and late-paid benefit contributions from February 2011 to February 2014. The plaintiffs hold SOTD Corp., doing business as The Glass Man & Sons, responsible because the defendant allegedly breached its bargaining agreement with the plaintiffs by failing to pay its monthly contribution on behalf of its employees.

The plaintiffs seek all unpaid contributions, liquidated damages, interest, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. They are represented by Michele R. Stafford, Anne M. Bevington and Erica J. Russell of Saltzman & Johnson Law Corp. in San Francisco.
