Conductor Inc. accused of using Chevy Chase photo without permission

LOS ANGELES – A San Monica photography business alleges its copyrighted photo of comedian Chevy Chase was used without authorization.

Michael Grecco Productions Inc., doing business as Michael Grecco Photography, filed a complaint on Feb. 3 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Conductor Inc. and Does 1-10 alleging copyright infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages from having its photograph of Chevy Chase used without authorization. The plaintiff holds Conductor Inc. and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly reproduced and displayed plaintiff's copyrighted photograph on their website.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks enjoin the defendants, all profits and damages, statutory damages, all legal fees, interest, and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Stephen M. Doniger, Scott Alan Burroughs, and David Shein of Doniger/Burroughs in Venice.
