International Expo Service Inc. alleged to have failed to pay employee contributions

SANTA ANA – A company that designs and manages trade show exhibits is alleged to owe more than $200,000 in contributions to labor union funds.

Board of trustees of the Southern California Local 831 Employer Health Fund, board of trustees of the Employer Pension Fund, and board of trustees of the Employer Training and Re-Training Fund filed a complaint on Feb. 10 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against International Expo Service Inc., Anthony Di Giorgio and Does 1-10 citing the Employee Retirement Income Security Act and the Labor Management Relations Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that they suffered damages due to unpaid and late-paid contributions. The plaintiffs holds International Expo Service Inc., Di Giorgio and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly breached their bargaining agreement with the plaintiff by failing to make a monthly contributions on behalf of their employees. The plaintiffs allege they are owed $296,256.47.

The plaintiffs seek delinquent contributions, liquidated damages, interest, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. They are represented by Anthony R. Segall and Michelle Sherer Ancheta of Rothner, Segall & Greenstone in Pasadena.
