LOS ANGELES – An eBay user under the ID of medi_madn is accused of unlawfully selling episodes of a television show without authorization.

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Inc. filed a complaint on Feb. 13 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Luis Alberto Ontanon, also known as Louis A. Ontanon and Luis A. Lopezontanon and Does 1-10 alleging copyright infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages to its business from having its works copied and reproduced without its consent. The plaintiff holds Ontanon and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly made copies of plaintiff's "Vampire Diaries" and sold them on eBay to consumers.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks enjoin the defendants from further infringing plaintiff's works, seize all infringing materials, pay actual damages and statutory damages to the plaintiff, profits, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by J. Andrew Coombs and Annie S. Wang of J. Andrew Coombs, A Prof. Corp. in Glendale.
