Government alleges individual owes more than $3,000 for two loans

LOS ANGELES –  A Los Angeles County woman is alleged to have defaulted on two student loans.

United States of America, on behalf of the Department of Education, filed a complaint on Feb. 17 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Kimberly L. Evans alleging that the individual failed to settle her debt with the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Evans failed to pay the principal amount of her debts plus interest.

The plaintiff seeks principal amount of $3,302.95, plus interest accrued to July 19, 1999, in the sum of $2,215.99, with interest accruing thereafter at 58 cents and 24 cents per day, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by William I. Goldsmith and Michael L. Goldsmith of Goldsmith & Hull A.P.C. in Northridge.
