Saks Fifth Avenue accused of sending unwanted texts

Phone 04

LOS ANGELES – A Los Angeles County man claims that he was sent unwanted texts from a business.

Jonathan Payton filed a complaint on behalf of all others similarly situated on Feb. 28 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Saks Fifth Avenue LLC alleging violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that beginning in July 2016, he suffered damages from receiving several unwanted text messages from the defendant. The plaintiff holds Saks Fifth Avenue LLC responsible because the plaintiff alleges was never a customer of the defendants and never provided his number to it.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks statutory damages and any other relief as this court deems just. He is represented by Todd M. Friedman, Meghan E. George and Adrian R. Bacon of Law Offices of Todd M. Friedman PC in Woodland Hills.
