Consumer claims Alltran Financial harassed him with frequency of calls

Phone 09

LOS ANGELES – A Los Angeles County man alleges a debt collector contacted him at an excessive and harassing rate.

Jonathan Heller filed a complaint on behalf of all others similarly situated on March 7 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Alltran Financial LP and Does 1 through 10 citing the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and the Rosenthal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that beginning in December 2016, he suffered damages from receiving several collection calls from the defendants. He alleges the defendants consumed all digital memory storage on his phone from its frequent voicemails. The plaintiff holds Alltran Financial LP and Does 1 through 10 responsible because the defendants allegedly kept on calling the plaintiff despite his written request to stop calling.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks statutory damages, injunctive relief, and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Todd M. Friedman, Adrian R. Bacon and Meghan E. George of Law Offices of Todd M. Friedman PC in Woodland Hills.
