Woman allegedly owes more than $7,000 for student loans, government claims

LOS ANGELES – The federal government alleges a Los Angeles County woman has failed to pay her student loans.

United States of America filed a complaint on March 7 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Brenda L. Usry alleging that the individual failed to settle her debt with the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that United States of America suffered monetary damages. The plaintiff holds Brenda L. Usry responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay the principal amount of her debt including interest.

The plaintiff seeks principal amount $7,233.56 plus interest of $12,048.72 with interest accruing thereafter at the daily rate of $1.07, and all legal fees. It is represented by Kseniya U. Stupak and Jacquelyne M. Nguyen of Law Office of Jacquelyne M. Nguyen in Costa Mesa.
